John Fraser

William Campbell Gallery is pleased to spotlight the work of gallery artist, John Fraser.

Fraser has been creating art professionally for over 40 years. His work is comprised of sculpture, wall relief, and dimensional works that prove the viewer with what he calls, “a contemplative viewing experience.” His media of choice include panels and wood, overtop he will choose from a variety of things including graphite, acrylic paint, graphite wash, collage, and found objects. To the viewer these constructions can be peaceful, yet thoughtful, allowing time and space for that contemplation.

He has received many honors and grants for projects internationally. His work is housed in many permanent collections including the Art Museum of South Texas, the Blanton Museum in Austin, and Brigham Young University to name a few.

John’s home studio is in Illinois where he resides with his wife as he continues to actively create works that are centered on things of timeless beauty, creating geometric forms and shapes.
