Victoria Gonzales is currently featured in the solo exhibition Under the Same Moon, on view April 6–June 20, 2026, in the Main Gallery at the Mesquite Arts Center.
In Under the Same Moon, Gonzales considers the ability of land to hold memory across generations. Drawing from Tejano symbolism and the Texas landscape, the paintings occupy a quiet threshold between past and present, day and night. Motifs of birds, moonlight, labor, and domestic ritual appear throughout the exhibition, grounding the work in both personal history and shared experience.
Gonzales’s practice is rooted in observation and remembrance—family narratives, regional history, and everyday gestures are layered into compositions that feel intimate yet expansive. The exhibition offers viewers an opportunity to spend time with a cohesive body of work that reflects her ongoing exploration of memory, identity, and place.
William Campbell Gallery is proud to support Gonzales and her exhibition at the Mesquite Arts Center.
