In Still Life, Billy Hassell presents a new body of paintings that reconsider the relationship between landscape and still life. Drawing from field sketches, botanical studies, and memory, the work reflects a process rooted in close observation and thoughtful composition. Together, the paintings blur the line between landscape and still life, offering insight into how Hassell studies, reconstructs, and responds to the natural world.
