THe CHEECH | RIVERSIDE, Ca
EXHIBITION ON VIEW: may 30, 2026 - May 23, 2027
William Campbell Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of We the People: Chicano Art in the U.S.A., organized by gallery artist Benito Huerta, on view beginning May 30 at the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture of the Riverside Art Museum in Riverside, California.
Taking its title from the preamble to the United States Constitution, the exhibition presents 60 artists and 125 works spanning painting, drawing, printmaking, and mixed media. The works address the full range of Chicano life in America — immigration, identity, climate, and the everyday — with artists including Frank Romero, Carmen Lomas Garza, Vincent Valdez, Barbara Carrasco, Luis Jiménez, and Patssi Valdez, among many others.
Huerta, an Arlington-based artist and curator with deep roots in the Chicano art community, brings together work that is both historically grounded and urgently contemporary. We the People is on view at the Cheech through May 23, 2027. Click here to learn more.
