Opening + Exhibition

We are pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition Symbiosis: Nature Revealed.  On view from January 27 to March 9, 2024, the exhibition showcases the work of two talented WCG Texas-based artists, Beverly Penn and Luther Smith, who skillfully capture the wonders of the natural world in innovative ways. Join us for an opening reception on January 27th from 4 – 8 PM at 217 Foch Street, Fort Worth.

Beverly Penn

Beverly Penn  creates unique sculptures using an unconventional medium: weeds gathered from the Texas Hill Country’s roadsides, gardens, and fields. Penn employs a process known as centrifugal casting, typically used in the jewelry and dental industries for its precision, to transform ordinary weeds into stunning bronze gardens.

Luther Smith

Luther Smith is a landscape photographer and a former professor at TCU. Smith is fascinated by the wild and unadulterated natural spaces near homes, both rural and urban. He seeks to capture the magic of green spaces and the joyful wonder he felt exploring the world as a child through vivid
